Horror movies based on real-life incidents can be quite horrifying but when parallels are established between deaths while filming and the horror movie then it makes our skin crawl. If the reports and historical citing are accurate then these ten movies are Real-Life cursed for causing numerous deaths that are related to their filming.
Real-Life Cursed Movies
1. The Omen
Directed by Richard Donner, The Omen can be seen as one of the most cursed movies due to the numerous events and misfortunes that took place while filming it. Ranging from the lightning that had struck the actor Gregory’s plane to director Richard’s hotel being bombed by IRA, the caste had encountered multiple horrifying experiences. Before the filming of the movie started Gregory Peck’s son had committed suicide which was a quite stressful situation. Animals also turned out of control as one stuntman who was acting for Gregory got bitten by Rottweilers even through the protective gear. Just the day after filming, the zookeeper was killed in the safari area by a tiger. One of the most eerie incidents was when John Richardson and Liz Moore met with an accident while Richardson was working on his next movie. While Richardson was knocked unconscious, Moore was left decapitated just like a scene he had designed for The Omen. He also mentioned seeing a road sign which read Ommen was 66.6 km away.
2. The Exorcist
Numerous people believe The Exorcism movie to be cursed due to the catastrophic and terrifying incidents that took place. Just as the filming for the movie commenced, the set which was used as Regan McNeil house was burnt down as a bird flew into the circuit box. The surprising thing was that the areas which remained undamaged included rooms that were used for actual exorcism scenes. In the movie, when possessed Reagon threw Ellen Burstyn to the ground, the blood and scream during that scene were totally real as the injury was genuine. In addition, Actors Jack MacGowran and Vasiliki Maliaros, both passed away after the shooting was completed and eerily their characters also died in the movie!
3. The Ring
Two Many bizarre moments took place on the set of The Rings Two. It was suspected that due to a burst of water pipe, the whole production office was flooded. This is quite peculiar as water was used as an element to induce fear in the movie. Following this event, a five-gallon water jug burst open once again flooding the room.
4. The Conjuring
Vera Farmiga, the lead actress in Conjuring, claims that her filming experience started with her observing digital claw marks on her computer screen after she spoke to the director. In addition, she also mentioned waking up to scratches on her thighs after the movie was wrapped.
5. Poltergeist
All the actors and the director thought that the skeletons used in the movie were props but they were actually real because making fake bones out of rubber is quite expensive. Furthermore, months after the movie was released, the actor Dominique Dunne was found murdered by her abusive boyfriend in her own driveaway. The life support removed her five days later. There were many more deaths of the cast and crew members which made this movie believed to be cursed.
