Lawyers of singer Britney Spears have opposed the motion of Jamie Spears. They were opposing her father’s request to keep her case sealed to the public.
Lawyers of Britney Spears have also hit back at the claims that Jamie Spears had made. He said the #FreeBritney movement is all by ‘conspiracy theorists’.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Samuel D. Ingham III (lawyer) said to the court, “Far from being a conspiracy theory or a ‘joke’ as Jamie reportedly told the media, in large part this scrutiny is a reasonable and even predictable result of Jamie’s aggressive use of the sealing procedure over the years to minimise the amount of meaningful information made available to the public.”
Jamie’s request was to keep the case of Britney Spears from the public. Ingham said the community has ‘legitimate interest in understanding how its court system operates’.
He further said, “At this point in her life when she is trying to regain some measure of personal autonomy, Britney welcomes and appreciates the informed support of her many fans.”
“Although the sealing motion is supposedly for her ‘protection,’ Britney herself is vehemently opposed to this effort by her father to keep her legal struggle hidden away in the closet as a family secret.”
Lawyers Want Jamie Spears Out Of The Conservatorship
Last month, her lawyer requested the court to remove her father as the head of her conservatorship.
In court papers, the lawyer said, “Without in any way waiving her right to seek termination of this conservatorship in the future, Britney would like Ms Montgomery’s appointment as conservator of her person to be made permanent.”
While speaking to Page Six, Jamie Spears said, “All these conspiracy theorists don’t know anything. The world doesn’t have a clue. It’s up to the court of California to decide what’s best for my daughter. It’s no one else’s business.
“I have to report every nickel and dime spent to the court every year. How the hell would I steal something?
“It’s horrible. We don’t want those kinds of fans. I love my daughter. I love all my kids. But this is our business. It’s private.”
