Nitish Kumar Calls Sharad Yadav And Ignites The Return In Other Parties

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has called Sharad Yadav, former president of JDU out of courtesy. Call from Nitish Kumar was all to enquire about the health of Sharad Yadav. But, this has sparked off the speculations in the political circle. The assumptions are moving all around about the possible return of Kumar.

Sharad Yadav was undergoing treatment in AIIMS (New Delhi). He was discharged from the hospital on Sunday.

Arun Srivastava, General Secretary of LJD said, “Yes, this is true that Nitish Kumar Ji called Sharad Yadav but it was just a courtesy call to enquire about his health”.

He added quickly, “Anything is possible in politics which is full of probabilities. Nitish Ji has been our leader and we have worked together.”

Sharad Yadav had formed LJD after getting expelled from JDU in 2016. He also contested in the Lok Sabha elections from Madhepura but lost the elections.

While Others Find This A Publicity Stunt

BJP MP Ram Kripal Yadav said, “If he joins it will definitely be a good move,” said JD (U) spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan. “He is a tall leader. It will strengthen the NDA”.

However, there is a section of JDU that does not see this happening. Senior JDU leader said, “He doesn’t have a base. Moreover, if he joins, it will be difficult to adjust his candidates in the coming Assembly polls.”

The RJD also discerns this as publicity, “The JDU has become desperate. They are moving from the doors of one leader to another and extending them invites to join their party,” said Mritunjay Tiwary spokesperson of RJD.

The JD (U) had eliminated Yadav as the leader of the party in the Rajya Sabha in 2017. This happened after he publicly opposed Nitish Kumar’s decision to re-join the NDA in Bihar.
