PREGNANT ELEPHANT DIED AFTER EATING PINEAPPLE FILLED WITH CRACKERS.

A pregnant wild elephant became a victim of human cruelty in the Silent Valleys of Kerela. The poor animal died while standing in water. Reportedly, a man from the Silent Valleys in Attapaddi
offered the elephant a pineapple filled with crackers.

The elephant being innocent chomped on ELEPHANT it and got severe injuries in her jaws when the crackers exploded in her mouth. The incident came into light after Mr Mohan Krishnan, a forest officer wrote an emotional message accounting this horrific incidence.

‘When we saw her she was standing in the river, with her head dipped in water. She had a sixth sense that she was going to die. She took Jalasamadhi in the river in a standing position’- wrote Mr. Krishnan The Elephant was under panic and was in pain after and incidence and ran around the village but didn’t cause any casualty.

On May 23rd the elephant was found to be roaming around the forests of Silent Valley National Park. It was reported that she was trying to look for water for the next 24 hours. She finally got into the Velliyar River where she drowned her mouth and trunk, maybe to get some relief and took her last breath over there.

Later it was decided to bring the pachyderm ELEPHANT out of water but by then the poor soul had already given up to her life. The pachyderm lost her life on 27th May and the post mortem reports stated that she was pregnant.

An FIR has been filed against the unidentified men in connection with this brutality under the Wildlife Protection Act. People all over India took to social media demanding justice for the poor soul. People raised questions regarding the laws against animal protection in India.
