TOP 10 FASTEST CARS IN THE WORLD

When it comes to supercars, Fast and Furious is the way to go CARS. Speed is at the top of the list when it comes to comparing supercar, the thrill and excitement of riding at high speeds is a feeling which is like no other. When comparing speeds, we look for a car with both high-top speed, acceleration and a sexy design becomes the cherry on the top. Here is a list of the top 10 fastest cars in the world.

10) McLaren F1
Power: 618 hp
Top Speed: 240.4 mph
First produced in 1993, it still is one of the fastest cars in the world. Its production stopped in 1998 and still sells over $1 million. Only 64 versions of the car were ever made and are still one of the most sought- after cars in the world.

9) Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo
Power: 750 hp
Top Speed: 248 mph
The S7 was released in 2000 and the Twin Turbo CARS model followed shortly afterward. A competition package offered by Saleen allows its hp to go up to 1000 mph and top speed to 260 mph.

8) Koenigsegg CCXR
Power: 1,004 hp
Top Speed: 249 mph
The CCXR is a better version of the CCR in terms of engine, CARS aerodynamics, and pretty much everything, you might not believe this as the CCR broke the top speed record in 2005 but that circular track was totally unfair. It was introduced as an “eco-friendly” version of the CCR.

7) SSC Ultimate Aero TT
Power: 1,183 hp
Top Speed: 256.18 mph
Shelby SuperCars (SSC) took out its Ultimate Aero TT version in 2007 which destroyed Bugatti Veyron’s top speed record. Since then, SSC upgraded the Aero to include the all-new twin-turbo V8 engine which gives it a theoretical speed of 290 mph and 1,290 hp.

6) Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
Power: 1,184 hp
Top Speed: 268 mph
Do I need even need to say something about this one, Bugatti used a huge amount of resources to make the Bugatti Veyron which was released in 2005. Its 256 mph was soon trumped by the SSC Ultimate Aero, so what does Bugatti do, it goes and makes this monster with a 268-mph top speed limited not by its speed but by its tires.

5) Hennessey Venom GT
Power: 1,244 hp
Top Speed: 270 mph
Hennessey lost its title to Koenigsegg, then it came back with the Hennessey Venom GT which took down the mighty Bugatti Veyron. Though the Guinness Book of World Records approved its. record, it did receive some criticism as its record was an average of 2 runs.

4) Koenigsegg Agera RS
Power: 1,360 hp
Top Speed: 278 mph
This one is my personal favorite, not only the Agera RS is the fast, its design is breathtaking. From this point on, the supercars claim to have that top speed, but the Agera actually demonstrated it can achieve an average of 278 mph.

3) SSC Tuatara
Power: 1,750 hp
Top Speed: 300 mph
The successor to the SSC Ultimate Aero, it is predicted to have a top speed of 300 mph. The
Nelson Racing Engines’ twin-turbocharged V-8, the Tuatara’s 5.9-liter flat-plane crank engine is capable of 1,750 horsepower when it runs E85 fuel.

2) Hennessey Venom F5
Power: 1,817 hp
Top Speed: 301 mph
Hennessey had claimed back its position as the fastest with the Venom F5, the successor to the
record-breaking Venom GT. Again, it has a theoretical speed of 301 mph though not proven till
now, it is able to go from 0 to 249 mph and back to 0 in under 30 seconds!! That’s how much most sports cars take to get over 100 mph.

1) Bugatti Chiron Super Sport
Power: 1,600 hp
Top Speed: 304 mph
In August 2019, the Chiron SuperSport took the Venom F5’s place as the fastest car in the world. It actually became the first car to beat the 300-mph limit with a speed of 304.77 mph. Another monster from Bugatti. Only 30 of these cars will be produced.

Bugatti has proved that when it comes to speed, no one is better than it. Sadly, we may not be able to see any monsters from Bugatti in the future. Bugatti has stated that from now on, it will focus on other areas. In the world of speed, you got to keep on improving your technology every day because all it takes is a millisecond to surpass you.
