Sadly, the United States is also one of the most expensive countries to study with costs being as high as $70,000 per year for international students. Thankfully, the United States is filled with universities that are quite generous to international students.

Another little ivy, it is also a private liberal arts college known for being part of the tri-college Consortium along with Bryn Mawr and Haverford college. It also has a co-operative arrangement with the University of Pennsylvania. For an international student, the average cost of attending Swarthmore after receiving aid is around $17,000 and its acceptance rate is a mere 9.1%. It is popular due to its programs and co-operations with other institutions.

You might have noticed that most of these colleges are liberal arts colleges, that because the United States invests quite heavily on liberal arts colleges. For STEM and business schools, I suggest you look at grants and scholarships offered to international students who aren’t directly offered by the University. You will have to search for them online, choose your University according to your situation. If you need to take a loan, its best to take it from banks in your own country as then you pay in dollars while they receive in their currency which might make things a bit easier.
