TRAILER OF ANURAG KASHYAP’S CHOKED: PAISA BOLTA HAI OUT

His latest projects include Ghost Stories, Manmarziyaan, Sacred Games Season 2, and Lust stories. He has been known for his great storytelling and realistic execution. His movies generally revolve around thrill, crime, and politics with extreme violence.

Anurag Kashyap comes back again with his new upcoming drama –Choked: paisa bolta hai on Netflix. It marks the fourth collaboration of Anurag Kashyap and Netflix. The film features Saiyami Kher(“Breathe2”) as Sarita who is a banker struggling to run the household on her own as her husband portrayed ANURAG by Roshan Mathew (“The Elder One”) is unemployed and follows his lifelong dream of being a musician. It is based on the 2016 demonetization conducted by Narendra Modi that was going to extract all the black money in India which has now been forgotten from the public discourse. Sarita Pillai, a young middle-class woman and the sole earning member of her house. One day she finds that her washbasin is clogged and finds an unlimited supply of money in her own kitchen which appears to be the money of a person who has recently shifted at a floor above their house. Sarita after discovering this huge amount of money, tries to fulfill all her desires which obviously shocks her family members. ANURAG Her life takes an ugly turn when demonetization is announced in the country. We see at the end of the trailer that Sarita who is scared also quits her job in the fear that she might get caught. The film will show how Sarita who is loaded with black money, deals with her problem and saves herself. The movie also features Amruta Subhash and Rashri Deshpande who portray different family members.

I think Anurag Kashyap comes back again with the genre he works best at- black comedy and I am pretty sure it will keep the viewers peeled to the screen. Choked will premiere on Netflix on June 5, do give it a watch.
