Paatal Lok revolves around an inspector Hathiram Chaudhary (Jaideep Ahlawat) who is out to discover a mystery behind the failed assassination about the top journalist Sanjeev Mehta (Neeraj Kabi). The Paatal Lok unfolds into cavernous mysteries and travel into the heartland
India from then it falls into the caste divide, communal clashes revolving around them. The series goes around the cryptic murders of journalists and how they face trolls. Actors played so well that in some scenes you’ll get goosebumps and the story will revolve in your head for a good amount of time. Here’s are some supporting actors that muck in with great authenticity:
Jagjeet Sandhu as Tope Singh – He portrayed as a sufferer of child exploitation as well as of caste discrimination. Tope Singh was a criminal and has a dark and harsh past since childhood which makes him exasperated easily. He wants calmness and love in his life for which he constantly makes efforts. Sandhu is a prominent face in Punjabi cinema.
Rajesh Sharma as Gwala Gujjar – Gwala Gujjar is out and out perfect character for an actor such as Rajesh Sharma to show off his acting skills. As Gwala Gujjar his character came into play in the end how in a dignified way he changes from warm-hearted rebel to mob boss requite betrayal.
Mairembam Ronaldo Singh as Cheeni – Cheeni is a martyred of child abuse and mistreatment of the transgender community. Some of the scenes where she socializes with her friends make complete justice to how the life of a transgender person really is. Mairembam Ronaldo Singh herself belongs to the transgender community, who works previously as a theatre actor in Manipur. She is making her digital debut with Paatal Lok.
Swastika Mukherjee as Dolly – Dolly is the wife of Sanjeev’s (Neeraj Kabi) who suffers from an anxiety disorder and is a dog lover. Dolly’s life is like a roller coaster, from her happy phase as a dog lover to breakdowns while facing her anxiety. Mukherjee has played commendable as Dolly as she portrayed realistically how she feel pain in discovering her husband’s affair.
Vipin Sharma as DCP Bhagat – As we all know how he played the role of a strict father in Taree Zameen Par from which he gained lots of fame, but as a DCP Bhagat he gives sufficient amount of arrogance and hubris which make that character more noticeable. You can hate him or love him but you can’t ignore his character.
