A few things in life have a pre-assumed image of themselves. Same is the case with biscuits. How far can we run our imagination when it comes to biscuits? Just as an evening side snack with tea or coffee. Isn’t it? TWISTS But, here’s the twist you’d definitely want to try at home.
- OREO PEDA
Oreos aren’t just limited to ‘TWIST. LICK. DUNK’. You can make marvelously delicious pedals TWISTS and surprise your family with such amazingly inventive cooking skills.
Recipe- Unpack a packet of Oreo (roughly 20 biscuits) and grid them in a blender. Add 1/4th cup of condensed milk into the dry mixture and mix until it combines with the biscuit mixture to form a soft dough. Now, take some ghee in hands and shape the dough in the form of pedals. Stick a pistachio on top to beautify the appearance and also enhance its taste.
Let it sit in the fridge for around an hour. Serve alongside snacks.
- BISCUIT SWISS ROLL
Did you know arrowroot biscuits can be transformed into creamy Swiss rolls? If not, below is the recipe.
Recipe- Grind 30 such biscuits in a blender, together with 1 tbsp of cocoa powder. Transfer the mixture into a bowl and make a soft dough by gradually adding 1/4th cup of condensed milk.
In another bowl, take 1 cup of fresh cream and add 3 tbsp TWISTS of castor sugar with 1 tsp of vanilla essence. Whip until soft peaks begin to form.
On a greased butter paper, roll out the biscuit dough(1/2 cm thickness). Evenly spread the whipped cream icing on top and roll the dough inwards till you reach the other end.
Let the roll freeze for around 2 hours. Later, cut it into 1 inch thick pieces and serve with chocolate drizzle on top.
- STRAWBERRY BARFI SANDWICH
Heat a pan and add 2 tbsp of ghee. Later, add 1 cup of desiccated cottage cheese, ½ cup granulated sugar, ½ cup of milk powder, 3 tbsp of strawberry syrup, and 1/4th cup of full cream milk. Cook until all the milk gets absorbed.
In a blender, grind 20 strawberry flavored biscuits. Make a soft dough by adding condensed milk TWISTS and spread the mixture evenly in a baking sheet lined tin. Now, make another layer of the pan mixture on top of the biscuit layer. Let it cool down in the fridge for a couple of hours and cut into desired TWISTS shapes you would like to serve it in.
