Biopics have become the new road to blockbuster in Bollywood. Whether it is Neerja or Sanju, the cast is acing it, paving way for some real-time hit. What’s exciting about the era of biopics is that the overdramatic Bollywood romantic movies have finally reached a period in the industry.
Although Bollywood is raining biopics, the season for it can end anytime (only not in 2020). Here are a bunch of upcoming movies that are yet to release next year. Watch out for these!

Chhapaak
Based on the real-life Acid attack survivor’s life, Lakshmi Agarwal who lived in Delhi. Meghna Gulzar’s film, Chhapaak is starring Deepika Padukone in the film. Earlier, Rajkumar Rao was said to play the role but now Vikrant Massey will be playing the husband in this massive movie.
Saina Nehwal’s biopic
The ace badminton player, Saina Nehwal’s, life tragedy is also in the line. Previously, Shraddha Kapoor was picked to play the leading role of Saina Nehwal but according to recent reports, Parineeti Chopra is most likely to replace her.
Mithali Raj biopic
Mithali Raj, an established cricketer and former captain of the Indian women’s national cricket team, is regarded as one of the greatest batswomen to have played for the Indian women’s squad. Tapsee Pannu is particularly expected to play her role in the movie.
Gunjan Saxena – The Kargil Girl
Gunjan Saxena was the first Indian woman air-force pilot who helped to evacuate soldiers in Kargil war, 1999. Jointly produced by Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios, Janhvi Kapoor will be seen playing this her role.
Ma Anand Sheela Biopic
Our Desi girl, Priyanka Chopra is also starring in one of these stunning films. She will be playing the role of a former right-hand woman to Osho, Ma Anand Sheela. This popular women’s life will go viral with the launch of this upcoming film that is sure to inspire millions.
PV Sindhu biopic
Another upcoming film, starring the amazing actor Deepika Padukone will be based on our famous 24-year old badminton player, PV Sindhu. Being a champion at badminton herself, Deepika was definitely ideal for the role of the film. The movie is expected to be produced by Sonu Sood.

The famous Indian army officer, Captain Vikram Batra’s biopic is also to be launched next year, starring Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani.
PT Usha biopic
The fastest runner in India, with a record of 101 international medals, PT Usha’s biopic will be starred by Katrina Kaif who is all set to ace her role. This movie is expected to release in English that will later be dubbed in other languages like Russian, Hindi, and Chinese.
Pullela Gopichand biopic
The famous and most regarded coach in the Sports world who is also remembered for coaching Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu will have his own biopic released amidst all others. Although it is rumoured that Akshay Kumar will play his role, no confirmation has been released yet.
Satnam Singh Bhamara biopic
The first Indian to be drafted within NBA at the age of 19, Satnam Sinh Bhamara’s life will also be displayed next year. This famous Indian football player’s biopic might have been declared to release next year but the cast and crew stand unravelled.
Balakot

Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw’s biopic
Amidst Vicky Kaushal’s 2020 films, a biopic of the first Indian army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshall will also be released.
’83 The Film
Our final biopic, ’83 which is based on the historic Cricket World Cup in 1983, Ranveer Singh will be seen playing Kapil Dev’s role with his real-life wife, Deepika in reel too.
