Flipkart Got A Good Response Than Expected During COVID-19

Flipkart has got 50 per cent, new customers, from Tier III and beyond cities during the Big Billion Days sale.

Along with Flipkart, snapdeal, amazon, and other e-commerce platforms have also begun with the sale. Snapdeal has also gained 90 per cent of its orders from Tier 2 and 3 cities. While 30 per cent of the total orders are coming from new users.

Flipkart’s new customers have reached the site from tier III and cities. It was for all the categories on the first day of its annual sale that is in Flipkart’s flagship. The company has said this in a statement.

However, the company has not shared the exact number of customers. It only stated that smaller towns are easily adapting to digitization.

Customers from Tier II and others beyond cities have got a growing number.

The marketplace saw desire and demand from over 2,550 pin codes throughout the country. Sellers from 167 new and to-be-modern towns entered the e-commerce outlet during Big Billion Days. The Big Billion Days sale went live on 16th October.

Flipkart Saw 50 Percent Growth In New Customers

Flipkart has even noted that the categories like home, large appliances, and beauty and general merchandise has seen growth. These categories have seen a growth of 50 per cent of new customers.

The administration said there was a 75 per cent boost in prepaid payments. This has shown the robust adoption of digital expenditures in India.

Not only Flipkart but snapdeal also has seen the same. It has gained more than 90 per cent of its orders from tier II and III cities.

Flipkart has also inaugurated numerous simple financing and likened monthly instalment (EMI) alternatives.

Rival Amazon has also started its Great Indian Festival Sale from 17th October.

These sales are helping the ones in smaller towns. Smaller towns have people who have suffered the most during the COVID-19 pandemic.
