PAKISTAN, CHINA APPEAR TO BE ON A MISSION TO CREATE DISPUTE: DEFENCE MINISTER, RAJNATH SINGH

On Monday, Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, while speaking at an online Event after inaugurating 44 bridges said after Pakistan, China is also  Creating a dispute at the Border in India, Calling it a “Mission”.

For five months Indian and Chinese troops have been locked in a Standoff in Eastern Ladakh.

According to the Defence Minister, he said, India is not only facing the situation but, on the other hand, it is bringing development in the border areas. These bridges are built in some key areas like -Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Jammu Kashmir.

Rajnath Singh said that “You are well aware of the conditions created along our northern and eastern Borders’ ‘. Earlier, it was Pakistan now, its China planning to create a dispute and call it a mission. Further, added that we have a border of about 7,000 kilometres with these counties where the tension continues.

Singh doesn’t call it as tension, it’s a development, stating that, these challenges during covid times and border tensions caused by china were not only tension but it gave a boost in the development sector of India.

The stone foundation of Nechiphu Tunnel in Arunachal Pradesh was done by the defence minister, Rajnath Singh and it’s a 450-meter long tunnel. The total no of 44 bridges was inaugurated out of which 10 were from Jammu and Kashmir,8 from Ladakh,2 in Himachal Pradesh, 4 each from Punjab and Sikkim,8 each from Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh.

Rajan Singh complimented the (BRO) Border Road Organisation for their achievements in improving infrastructure in borders and said that 44 bridges in one go created a record adding that this construction of bridges will help both the civilian population as well as military in the areas as none of the transportation is available throughout the year. So, this is going to be helpful for the army forces.

These roads are not only for strategic needs but also reflect equal participation of stakeholders in developing the Nation.

He further thanked and praised the BRO (Border Roads Organisation) for working hard even at the times of covid 19 pandemics and said that he is” happy to know that 2,200 kilometres of road have been cut by the BRO in the past 2 years and that also.by the use of latest technologies.

India is expediting work on more projects including a strategic road linking Darcha in Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh that is with criss-cross and several High altitude flurries of snow passes.
